About Tina Marie
Hello, there!
I’m a writer who’s passionate about words. (No, really, I love words. I sometimes fixate on a single word — how it sounds and what it means and why someone used it — for hours at a time.)
I’m also a follower of Jesus, who thinks it’s super cool that Jesus was/is “the Word become flesh” (John 1:14). That's probably part of why I often feel compelled to write words about Jesus and the things He said and did, or about things — often words — that stand out to me in His Word (the Bible).
Also, I’m not a huge fan of small talk or fake talk. I’d much rather have a real conversation and cut to the heart of the matter. From what I know about Jesus in the Bible, it seems He preferred the same. That’s a big part of why I started this blog.
In the spring of 2012, I married my gentle, pastor-hearted husband Nathan; and our sassy, adventure-loving daughter Ruthy joined our family as a teenager in the spring of 2019.
Ruthy recently got married and flew the nest, though, so Nathan and I are back to a household of two (plus two dogs) living on the east coast of Florida where we were both born and raised.
In 2021, I joined Word of Life’s writing team — an incredible group of pastors, teachers, writers, editors, artists, and creatives who work together each year to produce quality student ministry curriculum for elementary, middle, and high school students.
I am currently writing a book… but more about that when the time comes.
Whether you landed on this site by accident, or you’re here on purpose — if you’ll give me the privilege, I’d love to have the chance to be real with you. So why don’t you kick off your shoes and stick around for a while.
I’m so glad you’re here!
