About Tina Marie
Hello, there!
I’m a writer who’s passionate about words. (No, really, I love words. I sometimes fixate on a single word—how it sounds and what it means and why someone used it—for hours at a time.)
I’m also a follower of Jesus, who thinks it’s super cool that Jesus was/is “the Word become flesh” (John 1:14). That’s probably part of why I often feel compelled to write words about Jesus and the things He said and did, or about things—often words—that stand out to me in His Word (the Bible).
Also, I’m not a huge fan of small talk or fake talk. I’d much rather have a real conversation and cut to the heart of the matter. From what I know about Jesus in the Bible, it seems He preferred the same. That’s a big part of why I started this blog.
In the spring of 2012, I married my gentle, pastor-hearted husband Nathan; and our sassy, adventure-loving daughter Ruthy joined our family as a teenager in the spring of 2019.
Ruthy recently got married and flew the nest, though, so Nathan and I are back to a household of two (plus two dogs) living on the east coast of Florida where we were both born and raised.
In 2021, I joined Word of Life’s writing team—an incredible group of pastors, teachers, writers, editors, artists, and creatives who work together each year to produce quality student ministry curriculum for elementary, middle, and high school students.
I am currently writing a book… but more about that when the time comes.
Whether you landed on this site by accident, or you’re here on purpose—if you’ll give me the privilege, I’d love to have the chance to be real with you. So why don’t you kick off your shoes and stick around for a while.
I’m so glad you’re here!
